2020 in Review

They say diamonds are formed under pressure - and for surviving and (hopefully) thriving through 2020, that makes you a shiny, valuable ROCK(star)!

FatTail kicked off 2020 with the theme of “Partnership First”, and as the year evolved we experienced peaks and valleys on our journey with you.

From familiar pressures (grow revenue, reduce costs, work smarter)  to new ones (work from home/live at work, keep social distance, and gosh, where’s my mask?) we learned a new meaning of partnership and we endured.

We laughed with you as children, pets and ‘roommates’ made guest appearances at meetings; we toiled together to tackle problems and form solutions; we grew together in the name of scaling the industry and business tailored to the “new normal.” 

As we bring those partnerships formed into the new year, we thank you - it’s a privilege working with and for ALL of you. Let’s do a quick reflection  of the past year with an eye toward 2021.

2020 Highlights

Some of these initiatives set us all up for more new and exciting things to come in 2021, while others support us in the name of stability and scalability. Either way, 2020 wasn’t all bad.

  • Hosting Migration to Microsoft Azure - a successful migration to a new hosting platform in Q4 means even stronger performance, reliability, and scalability for our clients.

  • Focus Shift to UI/UX - a renewed commitment to UI/UX updates means a refreshed AdBook+ and faster, smoother ways to work are coming your way.

  • Launch of  FatTail Customer Portal - a powerful addition to the FatTail portfolio, designed to engage and inform advertisers and empower sales in your organization in the name of efficiency, transparency, and self service.

  • Introducing AdBookPSP - channel-defining technology that integrates premium supply and demand channels in ways never seen before.

Top AdBook+ Enhancements

We also continued to enhance and extend our flagship product AdBook+ and market-leading integrations to Salesforce and Google Ad Manager. Read key highlights below or check out our full release notes here.

  • Key Value Expression Builder - a new suite of tools for managing GAM keys and values and a new UI control to create and edit targeting expressions with ease and clarity.

  • 3rd Party Auto-Match and Import - tools to automate the ingestion of 3P data from various delivery sources, lessening manual uploads and providing data continuity.

  • Campaign Reports - new UI tools to run predefined DQT reports from within the campaign mean more data at your fingertips for pacing analysis, billing information, and more.

  • Enhanced Support for Video Ads and Targeting - now target video positions, bundles, and content from AdBook+ to GAM.

  • New Salesforce Reporting Integration Capabilities - Easily incorporate AdBook+ report data into Salesforce reporting and dashboards, or display on an Opportunity to capture pacing, revenue and delivery outputs.
